Weekend Recipe: Sweet & Sour Chicken

This is a favorite recipe of mine. It might sound bizarre, but it’s easy and delicious! Use extra sauce on rice.

Sweet & Sour Chicken

Chicken pieces on the bone
1 small jar of red plum jam
1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix
1 bottle of Catalina salad dressing

Spray  a 9×13 pan with Pam.  Mix everything but the chicken.  Then spread the sauce on top of the chicken pieces in the dish.  Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours.  Serve on top of rice.



  1. I love this recipe! I am wondering if we have Catalina dressing here….? I had Phyllis bring me Lipton Onion Soup Mix.
