Weekend Recipe: English Toffee

With the holidays fast approaching, I grabbed this recipe from Emily’s index– she makes it for Christmas gifts!

English Toffee

  • 1 c sugar

The finished toffee- you just have to break it and enjoy!

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 5 T water
  • 2 c pecans
  • 3 Hershey bars, broken into pieces

Have a cookie sheet greased with Pam on the side with the pecans spread out on it.

Mix and boil the sugar, butter, and water until t browns, around 310 degrees F.

Pour the hot mixture onto the pecans and immediately lay the Hershey bars on top of the hot mixture.  When melted, spread it with a knife, then let it cool.  Use a sharp knife to break it apart into pieces to serve.
