Weekend Recipes: Pulled Pork Sandwiches

A February BBQ!

There are so many recipes out there that it sometimes gets daunting just trying to choose one!  Here is a simple and low-maintenance option for your crockpot, courtesy of Kinda Crunchy Kate {she’s also doing a Friday recipe, so be sure to check it out!}.

You will need:

  • couple pound pork roast
  • 1/2 bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 bottle HP brown sauce

Take a couple pound pork shoulder and put it in a crock pot.  Pour both 1/2 bottles in. Cook all day.  About an hour before dinner time, pull out the pork and use two forks to shred it into small pieces.  Then, put the meat back in the cooker and simmer for that last 30-60 minutes.

Serve on hamburger buns or deli rolls.  Great with pickles and onions on the side, as well as corn on the cob, baked oven fries, or baked beans, etc.

  2. I have made this recipe, and it is awesome!!! So quick and easy to throw in the crock pot, too…no meat to brown or veggies to chop.
